GSB: 17:11 And the Levite was {h} content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.
(h) Not considering that he forsook the true worship of God to maintain his own belly.
WES: 17:11 Content - Being infected with the common superstition and idolatry of the times. His sons - That is, treated with the same degree of kindness and affection.
MHC: 17:7-13 Micah thought it was a sign of God's favour to him and his images, that a Levite should come to his door. Thus those who please themselves with their own delusions, if Providence unexpectedly bring any thing to their hands that further them in their evil way, are apt from thence to think that God is pleased with them.
