NASB: Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there. (NASB ©1995) GWT: Joseph and Nicodemus put Jesus in that tomb, since that day was the Jewish day of preparation and since the tomb was nearby. (GOD'S WORD®) KJV: There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
