ASV: For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to do that which is good is not. BBE: For I am conscious that in me, that is, in my flesh, there is nothing good: I have the mind but not the power to do what is right. DBY: For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, good does not dwell: for to will is there with me, but to do right I find not. WEY: For I know that in me, that is, in my lower self, nothing good has its home; for while the will to do right is present with me, the power to carry it out is not. WBS: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good, I find not. WEB: For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.
