NASB: for the demonstration, [I say], of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (NASB ©1995) GWT: He waited so that he could display his approval at the present time. This shows that he is a God of justice, a God who approves of people who believe in Jesus. (GOD'S WORD®) KJV: To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. ASV: for the showing, I say , of his righteousness at this present season: that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that hath faith in Jesus.
