NASB: When day came, they could not recognize the land; but they did observe a bay with a beach, and they resolved to drive the ship onto it if they could. (NASB ©1995) GWT: In the morning they couldn't recognize the land, but they could see a bay with a beach. So they decided to try to run the ship ashore. (GOD'S WORD®) KJV: And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship. ASV: And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they perceived a certain bay with a beach, and they took counsel whether they could drive the ship upon it.
