NASB: They took soundings and found [it to be] twenty fathoms; and a little farther on they took another sounding and found [it to be] fifteen fathoms. (NASB ©1995) GWT: So they threw a line with a weight on it into the water. It sank 120 feet. They waited a little while and did the same thing again. This time the line sank 90 feet.
