NASB: Then he gave orders to the centurion for him to be kept in custody and [yet] have [some] freedom, and not to prevent any of his friends from ministering to him. (NASB ©1995) GWT: Felix ordered the sergeant to guard Paul but to let him have some freedom and to let his friends take care of his needs. (GOD'S WORD®) KJV: And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him. ASV: And he gave order to the centurion that he should be kept in charge, and should have indulgence; and not to forbid any of his friends to minister unto him.
