NASB: But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (NASB ©1995) GWT: By God's word, the present heaven and earth are designated to be burned. They are being kept until the day ungodly people will be judged and destroyed. (GOD'S WORD®) KJV: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. ASV: but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
